Message contents

The writing page keeps your text temporarily in the browser’s text field. It does not send the text to a server or third party. It does not save drafts, use browser storage or cookies for message contents, or include those contents in URLs. A temporary image of the letter is rendered locally for the animation. Its pixels are cleared when the letter has burned or left the screen.

Clearing your message

Choosing either release removes the text from the page immediately. Leaving or reloading the page also clears the field. There is no recovery feature and the site operator has no saved copy. Clearing a field is not a guarantee of forensic erasure from device memory, browser internals, input software, extensions, screenshots, or clipboard copies.

Analytics and hosting

This site code includes no session replay, message analysis, or error-reporting services. It makes no third-party font or media requests. The hosting platform may process technical request information, including IP address, browser information, access times, authentication information, and security logs. The platform controls its own retention and applicable privacy practices; this site does not set those periods.

Website access

Empty Your Heart is publicly accessible and does not require an account or sign-in. You do not need to provide your name or email address to use the writing experience. Your typed message stays in your browser and is not sent to our hosting provider. The hosting provider may process technical information, such as your IP address and browser details, when you visit the website.

Requests and contact

We cannot retrieve, export, or delete a server copy of your message because the page does not create one. For hosting account or access data, use the platform’s privacy and support controls. You can contact the operator at admin@emptyyourheart.com.

Contact emails

The Contact Us form prepares an email draft in your email app. If you choose to send it, your name, email address, and contact message are shared with admin@emptyyourheart.com and handled by email providers. These emails may be retained for correspondence; the no-storage promise for the private writing ritual does not apply to emails you send us. The contact form never includes your private ritual text.

Policy scope

This describes the current implementation, updated October 4, 2026. A public launch needs the operator’s identity, contact details, confirmed hosting retention information, and any jurisdiction-specific disclosures.
